Pools Available

Do you need to hire someone quickly? The Public Service Commission (PSC) has proven expertise in collective staffing and general recruitment through pools and inventories. These processes maximize efficiency by sharing costs and making qualified candidates available to federal organizations on demand.

PSC-led pools and inventories

These contain candidates (assessed and non-assessed) based on a variety of qualifications. These are available to all federal organizations.

Functional community pools

These are developed in conjunction with various functional communities, such as the human resources community, to create partially or fully assessed pools of candidates available to all federal organizations.

The PSC works with various communities to help them manage their recruitment needs. Each initiative is customized to the needs of the community and is negotiated individually with the client as roles and responsibilities vary from process to process.

Collective staffing

This involves partnerships among managers to staff a large number of similar positions or to create a pool of candidates eligible for anticipated future vacancies.
