Notes
- Assessment accommodation (duty to accommodate) for organizational assessment tools is an optional, user-pay service. Assessment accommodation is part and parcel of PSC tests and is offered at no additional fee.
- We have noticed that some clients order more tests than required, leading to additional processing and security-related costs. A fee of $8 per excess test ordered will be charged, encouraging clients to order the correct number of test booklets.
- For Extended Jurisdiction organizations, SLE Reading Comprehension and Writing Expression tests ($33 paper and pencil; $21 online) is charged in addition to the test administration price of $25.
- Generally, Core Jurisdiction clients are organizations governed by the Public Service Employment Act for their appointment. Extended Jurisdiction clients are organizations with their own appointment authority. When in doubt, please contact the PPC Call Centre at 613-992-9741.
- The Tripartite Review Board process was created to assist individuals who have failed the Test of Oral Proficiency three or more times despite extensive training. The Board members represent the PSC, the Language Training Centre of the Canada School of Public Service, and the participant's organization. Persons who participate in this voluntary process receive specific recommendations based on a review of their language training and assessment history.
Cancellation Policy for Assessment Services
Unless otherwise indicated above, the following cancellation policies apply:
Second Language Evaluation Test
A no-show fee per test will be charged for every candidate who does not attend their SLE Test (Oral Proficiency or Reading Comprehension or Writing Expression) when a two business day cancellation notice has not been provided to the PSC.
PSC Test Administration of Non-SLE Tests
Clients will be invoiced in full for all non-SLE PSC test administration when a five business day cancellation notice has not been provided to the PSC.
Assessment Centres and Simulations
Clients will be invoiced in full for all assessment centre and simulation administration sessions when a ten business day cancellation notice has not been provided to the PSC.
Executive Counselling Services (ECS) and assessment feedback
A one hour charge will be invoiced for any missed appointments (without notice or less than two business days' notice).
