The Public Service Employment Act (PSEA) places an emphasis on oversight and the Public Service Commission’s (PSC) accountability to Parliament for safeguarding the integrity of appointments and in overseeing the political impartiality of the federal public service.

PSC investigations are an important oversight tool to help us monitor the staffing system and the non-partisanship of the public service.
